47-Year-old Fox News Senior VP of News and Politics Has Passed Away

Tragically, Fox News Senior Vice President of News and Politics Alan Komissaroff passed away at the age of 47 on Friday due to a heart attack he had suffered in January. Komissaroff was widely known for his deep understanding of the news industry and ability to innovate on behalf of Fox News.

On January 8, Komissaroff’s health crisis began when he told his wife after working out that he was feeling unwell. Knowing something wasn’t right she immediately called for help and paramedics rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, on the journey there his heart stopped beating and he slipped into a coma from which he never recovered consciousness. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up in order to benefit Komissaroff’s family during this difficult time.

Komissaroff has two children, 17 and 13 years old, who she desperately wishes to have the opportunity of a college education. This is made evident through her GoFundMe campaign.

“All proceeds will go directly toward his children’s future,” This campaign conveys the message. They also stated that a sum of $91000 has already been contributed to the activity.

This is an extremely difficult day for all of us who worked closely with Alan. We are completely heartbroken.”In a memo to colleagues, Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace highlighted.

The memo goes on to highlight Komissaroff’s passion for Fox News and the news world in general.

Alan was a leader and mentor throughout FOX News Media. He was integral to our daily news operations and played an indispensable role in every election cycle.

The recent midterm election coverage was easily one of the finest nights of special coverage he produced throughout his career. Additionally, he was the ultimate producer: of breaking news, politics, and special events.

However, there was no steadier or more trusted colleague to be in the control room during the most consequential events of our time.
