Pence Says History Will Hold Trump Accountable for the Capitol Riots

Vice President Mike Pence declared that history will be the ultimate judge of President Donald Trump‘s role in the Capitol riots and that he will be held accountable for his actions. Speaking at a press conference in Washington, D.C.

Pence emphasized that the events of January 6th were an affront to democracy and that Trump would have to face up to his part in inciting the violence that followed.

Additionally, he also noted the bravery of those who risked their lives to protect the Capitol building and its occupants from harm, citing their courage as an example of true American patriotism. The Vice President further stated that it was time to move forward with healing and rebuilding so that democracy could thrive once again.

Pence’s speech Toward Trump

Pence recently made some of the harshest comments he’s ever uttered about his ex-boss. He declared that history will hold Trump accountable for the January 6 Capitol riot, and even joked about the secret documents found at Mar-a-Lago.

However, his remarks come as part of an increasingly vocal effort to distance himself from Trump in the wake of the insurrection that shook Washington D.C., and sent shockwaves across the nation. As one of his most prominent loyalists who stuck by him through thick and thin, Pence’s words now carry greater weight than ever before.
