Ireland’s National Meteorological Service Predicts Sunny Skies, Bad News for Easter Weekend

Met Éireann, Ireland’s national meteorological service, has predicted that the nation is in for a sunny day today. However, they have issued a less optimistic forecast for the upcoming Easter Bank Holiday weekend. This upcoming weekend could be set to be a washout according to their latest information.

The national forecaster has announced that tonight will be a dry and chilly evening across the country, with temperatures likely to dip to their lowest levels of the day. There will be clear spells throughout the night. However, patches of mist and fog are expected to drift across certain areas as the evening progresses. Residents should wrap up warmly and take extra care when driving in any areas affected by fog. Visibility may become impaired as a result of the fog.

Saturday will be a dreary day, with heavy bouts of rainfall sweeping eastward across the nation. The precipitation is expected to start in the early morning hours and persists throughout the day, with occasional periods of light showers in between. The rain is forecast to be heaviest in the western parts of the country, gradually diminishing as it reaches the eastern coast.

This Easter Sunday, the weather may not be ideal for outdoor activities. Throughout the morning, there will be periods of patchy rain and drizzle, making it feel particularly dreary and damp.

The conditions are likely to stay fairly cloudy and wet throughout the day, with no signs of sunshine breaking through. So, it might be wise to plan some indoor activities instead.

On Easter Monday, the day will start off bright with sunny spells that will give people an opportunity to enjoy some outdoor activities. However, as the day progresses, showers will start to develop in certain areas and may even become heavy at times. Temperatures are expected to remain cool and mild. This could potentially make conditions feel quite dismal.
