Snow Warning: 27 Inches Will Blanket Parts of Britain Next Month in Freezing Winter Blast

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for parts of the UK, with an intense winter blast expected to bring up to 27 inches of snowfall in some regions over the coming month.

According to their forecast, an arctic weather system is forecasted to move across Britain. Thus bringing freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall that could disrupt travel and everyday activities.

Areas most likely to be affected include northern Scotland and northeast England. However, other parts of Britain could experience significant snowfall as well.

People living in affected areas should take precautions against the extreme cold and prepare for potentially hazardous conditions on roads and footpaths.

As temperatures plunge back down into sub-zero numbers. However, the United Kingdom is expecting to be blanketed in snowfall next month. This sudden change in weather follows an unusually warm February. Temperatures reached as high as 7C – a record for this time of year.

The UK is preparing for a snowstorm

However, this respite from the cold winter months will soon come to an end as a colder front moves toward the UK. Bringing with it a return to more wintry conditions and subzero temperatures.

Weather charts indicate that a flurry of winter weather is in store for Scotland and parts of northern England. The winter weather is to start in from March 3rd, with Northern Ireland and Newcastle expected to see snow.

This cold weather phenomenon will persist over a period of 7 days. As per the forecast, spells of rain or snow are likely to be more frequent than in earlier weeks, particularly in northwestern areas.

The wind direction is likely to be northerly or easterly and average temperatures might remain lower than usual. However, by the end of the month, it is anticipated that a strengthening sun will combat the cold air.
